    Temporary Carer (Health Care Assistant) - Days and Nights

    £9.50 - £9.75 per hour

    Apply to become a temporary carer at one of their two care centres in Milton Keynes.  No experience is necessary – if you’ve cared for a loved one, raised children or just have a compassionate nature that could make a difference to PJ Care's residents, they want to hear from you. You will be responsible for supporting residents, most of whom are under 65, in their daily activities as well as assisting them with meals, and helping them to feel clean and comfortable.  

    Full training will be given and you’ll get lots of support from your colleagues. Plus, you’ll get the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made a real difference to someone’s day.

    Housekeeper £9.50 ph

    We are looking to recruit Housekeepers as well as those who may not have worked in Housekeeping previously but who have a passion for the Care Industry to join our established teams in Milton Keynes

    • Maintain friendly contact with residents respecting their right to personal choice, dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
    • Discuss with the resident and/or the Unit Manager individual rights and choices in relation to room cleaning.
    • Keep all areas of the Units, including all toilets, clean and tidy. This includes washing, dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning and sweeping as appropriate.
    • Ensure all cleaning equipment/materials are maintained in a safe, clean and efficient working condition

    Healthcare Assistant £9.50 ph

    We are looking to recruit carers with experience and those who may not have had a formal role but who have a passion for care.

    As a carer, you will take on the role of providing care for our residents in accordance with their individual care plans, under the guidance and supervision of the Nurse in Charge and Senior Health Care Assistants. You will be responsible for supporting residents in their daily activities, assisting them with meals and helping them to feel clean and comfortable.

    Line Chef £10.60 ph

    Do you have a passion for cooking?  Would you like to create exciting dishes from all over the world with the full support of your line Manager?

    The Hours are 7-7 and you will work 7 out of 14 days every 2 weeks on a rolling rota.

    Driver/Maintenance £9.90 ph                                                       

    We are currently looking for a maintenance person / driver to work as part of the maintenance team, to ensure all areas of PJ Care’s buildings are in good working order.

    In this role, you will:

    • Provide general assistance in the repair and maintenance of PJ Care property as required.
    • Implement an agreed program of testing of fire alarms and extinguishers and water temperatures
    • Liaise with contractors on site.
    • Complete portable appliance testing on all new and existing electrical appliances
    • To obtain purchase orders for any purchases from a nominated supplier
