Business Development Manager
Pay: £39,214.00-£59,854.00 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and expanding our market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the software industry, particularly experience with Salesforce.
Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve growth targets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing our products and services.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on business development strategies and client requirements.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable partnerships.
Monitor industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.
Provide regular reports on business development activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development or sales roles, preferably within the software industry.
Strong understanding of CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on results-driven performance.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

We are looking for a sales Support Executive to join our growing team and be the crucial first point of contact for both new and existing clients. You'll play a key role in generating spot quotes, coordinating services across all transport modes, and supporting the sales team to win and retain business.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for inbound sales inquiries and one-off client requests.
Generate accurate and timely spot quotes across all transport modes and service offerings. Eye for detail and ability to prioritise work load.
Identify high-potential clients and schedule meetings for the external sales team.
Actively up-sell additional services to maximize business opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders, including Key Account Managers.
Manage the full quote lifecycle, including follow-ups, to convert opportunities into closed business.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and ensure service excellence.
Monitor current customer accounts, review freight lanes, and suggest improvements or additional services.
Stay informed about competitor pricing and market conditions.
Ensure CRM data accuracy and maintain records in Cargowise and other systems.
Support marketing initiatives, including targeted campaigns and promotions through Cargowise CRM.
Experience & Skills Desired:
Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries (Preferred).
Familiarity with the freight forwarding industry, particularly ocean freight and air services (Highly desirable).
Proven track record in internal sales, quoting, or customer-facing coordination roles.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify up-selling opportunities.
Proficiency with CRM tools – experience with Cargowise CW1 is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly organised with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Positive, solution-focused mindset with a flexible and proactive approach.
Education & Qualifications:
A-Level or equivalent qualification (Required).
