MK Dons are thrilled to announce the signing of defender Kane Wilson from Sky Bet Championship side Derby for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL and FA clearance.
The 25-year-old joins Paul Warne’s side as the tenth signing of the summer following Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Gethin Jones, Aaron Collins, Will Collar, Tom Finch, Callum Paterson, Marvin Ekpiteta and Jon Mellish.
The right wing-back is a skilled player, having spent a year at Bristol City before moving to fellow Championship side Derby, where he made 85 appearances, scored five goals and provided seven assists in his two seasons with the club.
Wilson spent his youth career at West Bromwich Albion, the club where he played alongside MK Dons winger Jonathan Leko.
Kane also enjoyed his time at Forest Green Rovers, where he scored four goals and provided 14 assists.
In the 21/22 season, Kane was named the League Two Player of the Season with FGR, and since 2022 has made more than 160 senior appearances.
A versatile player with a great attacking mindset, Wilson is excited to begin his League Two campaign with his new teammates as an MK Dons player for what promises to be a compelling 25/26 season.

On what he'll bring to the team, Kane Wilson said:
"Some of my best attributes are going forward, which the gaffer loves! I just try and excite the fans, to be honest. I love running at players, dribbling, and if I can contribute to clean sheets and creating chances, then hopefully I'll have a good rapport with the fans!"
