Milton Keynes basketball team looking for local sponsors to support club which manages over 900 kids each week

Started in September 2017 with just 40 kids, the MK Breakers Basketball Club has grown to over 900 boys & girls, 4-18, training and playing every week at one of their 6 basketball centres.

Additionally, MK Breakers run their own Community Basketball League (CBL), where the kids play in a competitive league environment as well as provide regular weekly school coaching, reaching over 1000 children every month, making them the largest community focussed sports club in the city.

As well as their community programmes, they offer a talent pathway - 12 Junior National League teams (8 boys, 4 girls), as well as a 6th Form Basketball Academy (with the 5D Trust), where students continue their education whilst developing their basketball skills, competing at the highest levels of UK college basketball.

September 2022 saw them bring back Senior Men's basketball after an absence of over 10 years with a team consisting entirely of MK-based players playing to packed crowds at Bletchley Leisure Centre.

As of today, they sit proudly on top of their division, unbeaten and looking to be crowned Divisional Champions come April.

Their continued success and growth come at a price with the ever-increasing costs of court hire and staff - while they do receive support from local social enterprises, the vast majority of costs are paid by our parents.

While they do their best to keep these costs as low as possible, frustratingly in order to survive they now find themselves having to approach the local Milton Keynes business community to ask for financial support in the way of sponsorship and or community donations.

They believe passionately that what they offer is more than just basketball, more than just sport, it is of huge benefit to the self-development of the children themselves.
