Milton Keynes City Council has confirmed that the Young People's Opportunities Fair will return this October, offering young people a chance to explore volunteering, work experience, education, and much more.
The fair, organised by the City Council, is designed for young people aged 16 to 25 and will feature various local organisations. Attendees can drop by Civic on Monday, October 14, between 11am and 3pm, to learn about apprenticeships, traineeships, and job opportunities, as well as further education options.
The City Council’s Information, Advice, and Guidance workers will be available to provide one-on-one support, offering help with CV writing, interview techniques, and guidance on local opportunities. Additional personal appointments can be scheduled after the event for those needing further assistance.
Councillor Joe Hearnshaw, Cabinet member for Children & Young People told MKFM, "The Young People's Opportunity Fair is a chance to empower our young people with the resources, connections, and inspiration they need to build their future. Every young person in Milton Keynes deserves the opportunity to discover their potential."
This free event welcomes both young people and their parents or carers, with no booking required.
The fair will be at the Civic,1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ.
