Young Enterprise students bring Giftables business to Milton Keynes

Students from Buckingham’s Royal Latin School will be swapping the classroom for Midsummer Place next month, when they launch their Easter Hampers in the shopping centre.

The seven students - currently studying for A levels including maths, economics, science and languages - are part of the Young Enterprise group charity, which helps young people learn about business and entrepreneurship.

The Easter hampers -  part of their Giftables business - will deliver seasonal chocolates and toys, brought together in themed packaging, and follows similar successful projects for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

“We believe our seasonal approach sets us apart. Rather than selling a single product, we create themed hampers throughout the year, carefully planned around key events,” said Jaswant Sai Udhayamoorthy, “In addition, being proactive ensures that we deliver high end products and services to our local community.

“Being part of this Young Enterprise group we have learnt numerous valuable skills such as team management, financial skills and communication,” he added, “It has given us real-world experience of running a successful business and increased our confidence in pursuing future opportunities.”

Their Midsummer Place selling session is part of a competition, and the students are also hoping to inspire others to follow their lead: “…by raising awareness about Young Enterprise’s mission in nurturing skills and creativity among local students,” Jaswant added.

    > The team will be at Midsummer Place on Saturday, March 14.
