YMCA Milton Keynes has announced the launch of two new Youth Clubs aimed at providing a safe and supportive environment for children and teens to socialise, express themselves, and build friendships.
Thanks to funding from Great Linford Parish Council and Olney Town Council, these clubs will begin hosting sessions this month. The first club, located at The Olney Centre, will kick off tomorrow (September 13), offering a space for young people aged 12 to 16. The sessions will run every Friday during term time from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Additionally, the Conniburrow Community Hub will begin hosting Youth Club sessions next Tuesday, September 17. This club will offer two sessions every Tuesday during term time for different age groups: 11 to 13-year-olds from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, and 14 to 18-year-olds from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
YMCA MK said, “There is an urgent need to see a return to regular youth work sessions in the local community that provide opportunities for young people to develop their emotional and social skills in a safe physical environment with adults they respect and trust.”
