Yellow weather warning issued for Milton Keynes

Starting today (06/02) at 15:00, the Met Office has put into place a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across many parts of England, including Milton Keynes.

Snowy showers will start to affect many northern and eastern parts of the UK and disruptions to travel are expected.

The warning which begins today (06/02) at noon is expected to last until at least next Wednesday (10/02). Those who are expecting to travel via air or by rail during this period should be mindful of delays or possible cancellations to their journey.

The Met Office also warns that in some communities power cuts could occur and mobile phone coverage may be limited.

It is currently advised that all those not undertaking essential journeys should stay home. For the travel guidance issued by the government, please click here
