Yellow weather warning in place across Milton Keynes as residents warned of flooding

A weather warning is in place until 6pm this evening.

The Met Office's weather warning is in place until this evening with residents being warned of flooding and disruption.

The warning has been active since 5am this morning, with areas expected to see around 10-15 mm of rainfall.

"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings, The Met Office says. "Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services."

The RAC and National Highways have issued advice for motorists driving in severe weather. You can read more on how to drive safely here.

There are warnings in place across southern and central parts of the UK for heavy rain and strong winds.
