Witnesses sought after woman attacked in McDonald's

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a young woman was hit in the face at a fast food restaurant.

At around 4.15am on Sunday October 9, the victim, aged 20, was in McDonald's, at the Xscape leisure complex, when an unknown man hit her in the face, giving her a nose bleed.

The victim had been talking with a friend at the counter of the restaurant when another unknown woman, who was with the offender, began shouting at the victim. After this woman and the offender had been ejected from the restaurant by door staff, the offender re-entered the restaurant and hit the victim in the face.

Investigating officer PC Lucy Bottomley, based at Milton Keynes police station, would like to speak to the people in the CCTV images as it is believed they may have information which can assist with the police investigation.

PC Bottomley said: "This was an unprovoked attack and was very distressing for the victim.

"I would urge anyone who recognises any of the people in the CCTV images to come forward and talk to police on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if you do not want to speak to police you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
