Willen Hospice hosts online auction

Willen Hospice is set to host an online auction from 13 – 23 November 2017 to help raise funds to support the service it provides to the local community.

All the auction lots are donated by local people and companies, which means that every penny raised goes towards supporting the care at Willen Hospice.
Items included in the eBay auction are an MK Dons team framed, signed football shirt; an Apple iPad, Amazon Echo, a Luvabella doll – one of the gifts on the children’s Christmas must-have list, plus prestigious Bosch cooking and baking bundles. There is a Usain Bolt framed, signed picture with authentication, plus toys, family days out, money-can’t-buy experiences, football season tickets, pamper days and luxury hotel stays.

Sarah Sweet-Rowley, Events Manager for Willen Hospice says “With Christmas drawing nearer, this is an ideal way to shop online for gifts in the comfort of your own home. Why not beat the crowds and find something unusual at a great price, whilst supporting Willen Hospice”

“We would like to thank the donors for each item received.  Without the generous donations, this auction would not be possible.

Willen Hospice services are free to those they care for but to continue to offer this care, the charity needs to raise around £7 every minute from the local community.  The annual running costs of the Hospice is around £4.6 million and although it is grateful to have 22% of these costs met by the NHS, the remaining 78% needs to be raised from the local community.
