Willen Hospice announces 50% off closing down sale at Milton Keynes Clearance Store

Willen Hospice has announced 50% off everything in a closing down sale at its Grafton Gate Clearance store, as it prepares to relocate to The Point.

Mark Rawlins, Associate Director Commerce at Willen Hospice said “I’m thrilled to invite our customers and supporters to take advantage of 50% off marked prices in store – that’s across the whole range of clothing, accessories, toys, homeware and furniture”.

The sale is live now and the charity expect stock to move very quickly so shoppers are encouraged to visit the clearance outlet at 1 Grafton Gate East, Milton Keynes MK9 1AH soon, to avoid any dissapointment.

The sale will help to reduce stock levels whilst staff, volunteers and the charity’s online eBay operation prepare to relocate to the new city centre location.

Mark adds: “I cannot thank the landlords of the Grafton Gate property enough for their generosity in making the site available on a temporary basis. We moved in during lockdown in November 2020 and anticipated a short-term tenure.

"We’re extremely grateful that this rolled into a two-year occupancy, giving us a vital and ongoing source of income for our Hospice. This meant so much, at a time when we were recovering from the devastating impact on our fundraising during the pandemic.”

In the two-year period, new jobs have been created for local people, and countless volunteers have kindly provided their time to support the Hospice.

The charity states that supporters too, have played an invaluable role by providing donations that the Hospice could resell, recycle or reuse to raise funds.

The new clearance store is located downstairs at The Point in Central Milton Keynes, and offers items from as low as £1 per item.

Donations are also welcome and proceeds will go towards supporting the specialist care that Willen Hospice delivers to end of life patients and their families.
