Willen Football Club donates old kits to support Ghanaian Youth through JBS

Willen Football Club has taken a meaningful step to support young lives in Ghana.

By donating their old football kits to JBS, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged children in the western part of the country through sport.

Founded in May 2022, JBS focuses on using football as a tool for change — helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds stay off the streets and gain access to education. Since its inception, the organization has reached over 70 to 120 children, providing not only opportunities to play and develop their talents but also helping several of them enroll in school. This year, JBS proudly celebrated as two of their young players advanced to secondary school — a milestone that reflects the growing impact of their work.

The generous donation from Willen Football Club will make a significant difference. By supplying used kits, the club helps JBS reduce costs that would otherwise go toward purchasing new equipment. Those savings can now be redirected to educational support for children eager to learn and build brighter futures.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Willen FC for their thoughtful contribution,” said a spokesperson for JBS. “Every shirt and pair of boots means more resources for education and more hope for the kids we serve.”

Through acts of kindness like this, football continues to prove that it’s more than just a game — it’s a powerful force for community and change.
