    Police continue appeal for witnesses to serious assault.

    Police have widened their search for eye-witnesses following an incident in which a man was assaulted at the Racecourse Park in Northampton.

    There was a funfair going on at the time and officers say the park was well-attended by visitors. Were you there?

    The assault incident happened at the East Park Parade side of the park on Sunday, 24th August, between 10.20pm and 10.45pm, when a man in his 50s was struck with a golf club, causing him to lose consciousness and suffer a broken leg.

    Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
