Water sports activities will return to Willen Lake this month

Water sports activities will soon resume following the Government's announcement on the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions.

Local charity The Parks Trust, which owns Willen Lake, says that the activities will be operating within the Government guidelines and will reopen with reduced capacities.

From 29th March, all water sports at Willen Lake will resume alongside wakeboarding, open water swimming, and the football courts will also be available for use.

A spokesperson for The Parks Trust says that outdoor play areas will remain open, and the outdoor gym equipment will reopen from 8th March.

They added: "Our Play areas will be open for use with some restrictions in place. However, from Monday 11 January our Toddler Play area will be closed as part of the improvement works happening at Willen Lake.

"We will continuously review the latest government guidance and make any changes necessary to the way we run activities. We will also update our website as soon as we can. Should we need to cancel any activities due to changes in government guidance, you will receive a full refund or the opportunity to change the date of your booking."
