Walking to the Scottish Highlands for Fathers 4 Justice

Chris McEvoy is passing through Milton Keynes on his way to Scotland.

On Tuesday 17th September Chris McEvoy passed through Deanshanger as part of his 415 mile walk to the Scottish Highlands. Chris is walking to raise awareness for Fathers 4 Justice, male suicide and mens mental health problems. Chris who has suffered himself with having an addictive personality and has made suicide attempts had only that morning visited a building site to hand out doughnuts to builders to encourage them to get talking. He is leaving his old life behind and is now effectively homeless. His plan once he reaches Scotland is to do a bungee jump as a symbolic way of launching into his new life. He was invited to stop off at The Coffee Stop in Deanshanger when the owner Julie Martin saw his posts on the local  Facebook pages, she offered him lunch and a drink and the opportunity to charge his phone. Chris decided that he wouldn't be raising money for charity as this was more of a personal mission that he needs to complete as a challenge for himself.
