Hazeley school closure update.
Following yesterday's closure of The Hazeley Academy, a spokesperson for the school has confirmed to MKFM that Legionella bacteria was detected through 'routine testing of the school's water supply.'
They said: "While it is a low risk, we are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well being of all students, staff, and visitors. This will include a full investigation by the relevant authorities to confirm the water supply is safe."
The spokesperson added: "We want to thank parents for making the necessary arrangements at short notice to collect their child.
“The investigation is expected to take around a week, and the school will remain closed during that time.
"Student’s learning will continue via Microsoft Teams while the building is closed. We expect the school will reopen on Tuesday 23rd September 2025.”
