Upcoming housing development will bring 168 more homes to MK

The development of 168 new houses and apartments, Wavendon Chase, is set to launch at the end of February.

The developers, Bellway, say 50 of these properties will be affordable homes for local people.

Plans compromise of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments which will be just off of Newport Road in Wavendon. The new community will be part of a wider neighbourhood which is planned to include public open spaces, schools, a health centre and shops.

Luke Southgate, Sales Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are very much looking forward to launching Wavendon Chase, with the first homes already taking shape on site.

“The site, once transformed, will provide much-needed new homes for a wide range of people on all stages of the property ladder. There will be apartments and smaller properties designed to suit first-time buyers and young couples, while the larger homes will be ideal for growing families.

“With lots of interest already received in these homes, we are expecting this development to be very popular. It is exceptionally well located, just a few miles from all the attractions of central Milton Keynes and with the A421 and M1 close by. There’s also a great train service from Milton Keynes into London.

“We are committed to helping meet demand for new housing in Milton Keynes and can’t wait to welcome the first visitors to the site.”

The detailed plans were approved by Milton Keynes Council in September 2019.

Once the development launches, residents will be able to choose from the first plots released for sale.
