Police attended an incident in New Bradwell on Thursday night.
MKFM reached out to Thames Valley Police following reports of a heavy police presence in New Bradwell, Milton Keynes.
Deputy local policing area commander for Milton Keynes, Chief Inspector Euan Livingstone, said: “Our officers attended Thompson Street in New Bradwell, Milton Keynes, after a report of an assault at around 4.50pm Thursday (17/8).
“Due to the mention of a weapon being seen, armed officers were deployed to the incident.
“Two suspects were quickly identified and arrested. They are two boys aged 15 and 16, both from Milton Keynes. They have both been released on police bail.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area as a result and anyone with concerns should speak to a uniformed officer.
“Anyone with information about the assault should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230366778.
“Alternatively, provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.
“We take any report of weapons being seen or used in Milton Keynes extremely seriously and we will continue to be robust in dealing with those who choose to carry weapons in our city.
“The deployment of armed officers is not unusual when there is a mention of a weapon, the armed officers are there to protect our communities and support our officers in Milton Keynes.
“I am pleased that the public have had the confidence to speak to us regarding this incident and grateful for the patience of anyone affected by the policing operation.”
