Thames Valley Police began an investigation at the MK Dons v Portsmouth match at Stadium MK last Saturday, 10th February.
A police spokesperson said two men were arrested for throwing flares onto the football pitch.
A 45 year old man from Havant, was arrested and later released without charge. George Chambers, aged 21 from Bedhampton, was charged and is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Monday 26th February.
The game saw Pompey defeat MK Dons 2-1.
