Trio of pals walk through Milton Keynes as part of charity expedition -  and you're invited to join them

Three men pounding the streets on a 14-day charity expedition from Edinburgh to London are inviting people to join them as they continue their journey through Milton Keynes.

Stewart Knight, Nikolaii Stewart and Adam Critchlow are walking an average of 45-50km daily, which is the equivalent of an ultra marathon, to raise funds and awareness for Palestine and Ukraine.

The journey so far has been physically demanding, but they’re continuing with determination to complete the route and keep attention on these humanitarian causes.

The trio, from Salford, Bolton and Farmworth, will spend this evening in Great Linford before lacing up their boots and passing through Campbell Park, Woughton on the Green, Tinkers Bridge, Fenny Stratford and Water Eaton tomorrow as they enter the final phases of their epic journey, and make tracks toward their finishing spot, at London's Houses of Parliament.

“The shortest day of walking has been 43km, which is the length of the Gaza Strip,” Stewart told MKFM.

“In a time of overwhelming silence, our footsteps speak. We walk for Gaza. We walk for Ukraine. We walk to remind the world that humanity must remain indivisible,” he said.

The friends have set a fundraising target of £10,000 and monies raised will be split between Gaza Soup Kitchen, UNRWA Palestine, Ele Elna Elak and Red Cross Ukraine. To donate – and for more information on each of the charities – visit https://gofund.me/74491a665]
