Town council brings Milton Keynes youngsters to book!

Stony Stratford Town Council is helping youngsters to foster a love of books and words, by delivering a World Book Day Treasure Hunt in the town.

The council launched the QR code driven hunt, which is ideal for parents and children to enjoy together, for half term, but there is still time to take part, though - with the fun continuing right through to March 15.

Treasure Hunt stickers have been placed around the town waiting for participants to discover them.

“The Parish Council is passionate about getting more children to read, and for them to have access to books,” said Town Clerk Lynne Compton.

You simply scan the QR code and register your details and then you’re off!

Take a selfie at each of the 10 stops and each snap will reveal a secret letter.

Reveal them all and unscramble the letters and children will unlock a printable prize.

The hunt is free to enjoy, and you don’t even need to download an app to take part. Pick up a free trail sheet at Stony Stratford Library, or start your adventure wherever you see a poster or sticker.
