Outstanding individual performances at Denbigh School with the top 10 students securing the equivalent of 4 A*/A grades.
Denbigh has the largest Sixth Form in Milton Keynes, so to secure over 50% of all grades at A* to B is truly exceptional. The School is also delighted to see an increase in the top grades for new courses this year, whereas nationally these have fallen.
Headteacher Andy Squires said, “I am immensely proud of what our students have achieved in their Year 13 examinations. This is as a result of their grit and determination over the last two years. Students, staff and parents, rightly, have high aspirations in an increasingly competitive environment. I am delighted that our students have secured top university places, apprenticeships and employment opportunities within their chosen fields.
“This year three students are leaving to study at Oxford and Cambridge, for Geography, Natural Sciences, and Philosophy, Politics and Economics. We also have students taking up places at Warwick to study Mathematics, and Ancient History & Classical Archaeology. Other students have gained places to study Medicine at Kings College, Dentistry at Leeds and Physics at Durham.
“We wish all our students well in their further studies.”
