A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Milton Keynes on Friday morning.
Just as the weather was beginning to look better, a thunderstorm warning has been issued across the city.
Thunderstorms and torrential downpours are expected to break out across England tomorrow (Friday 18 August).
A yellow weather warning is in place between 6am and 12pm, with localised disruption expected.
A spokesman for The Met Office said: “A line of thunderstorms are expected to develop during Friday morning and move gradually northeast before weakening into the afternoon.
“Whilst most places will only see a short period of heavy rain, a few places may see 30 to 40 mm of rain in less than two hours.
“In addition to heavy rain, some thunderstorms may produce frequent lightning.”
The thunderstorm warning comes as temperatures are set to rise over the next week.
