Mobile discovered smoking in phone scare.
Three fire crews from the Milton Keynes area were called out this week to attend a smoking mobile phone.
The firefighting teams, one from Broughton and two from Milton Keynes, answered the call to the smoking phone in Silbury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes, which turned out to be the unit’s battery. By the time the fire service arrived the fire was out.
“Advice was given to the owner and a home fire safety visit was carried out,” said a Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson.
