From a riverside location in Stony Stratford to a tucked away street in Woburn Sands, these are the most expensive places to live in Milton Keynes...

Last year, following the Government's stamp duty holiday announcement, Milton Keynes saw the largest increase in online buyer enquiries in the UK - 136% to be exact.

So with more people looking to buy in the city, we thought it was time that we did a little window shopping.

MKFM has collated the top ten most expensive streets, according to Zoopla, with the most expensive being...

    1. Mill Lane, Woburn Sands

Mill Lane, a quiet stretch of road in the more remote part of Woburn Sands, backs onto the prestigious Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands Golf Club. House prices in this neck of the woods stand at an average of £1,061,211 (Jan 2021), so properties aren't cheap! Saying that, house prices have fallen slightly - albeit just 0.38% in the last three months.

    2. The Avenue, Aspley Guise

Aspley Guise is another quaint and popular village that sits in the borough of Milton Keynes. It is a sought-after area with the prices to match.

The Avenue, which is just off of well-known Church Street, comes in at the second most expensive street to live on. There are just a few large houses, complete with swimming pools, along this road - and the average house price is £1,250,000!

    3. West Hill, Aspley Guise

Coming in at number three is another street in Aspley Guise. West Hill joins onto Weathercock Lane, which is said to be haunted by highwayman Dick Turpin. This doesn't seem to put buyers off though, as the average house price on West Hill is a comfortable £1,242,500!

    4. Sandy Lane, Woburn Sands

There is definitely a pattern emerging here - the smaller villages just outside the city seem to be the most expensive places to live. Another quiet stretch, Sandy Lane, has the average house price of £1,200,000.

    5. Sandy Court, Woburn Sands

Sandy Court, which is between Weathercock Lane and Station Road, reportedly has the average house price of £1,120,000.

    6. Silverbirches Lane, Woburn Sands

Silverbirches Lane is a quiet area of Woburn Sands, surrounded by trees. The private location is popular amongst homeowners, with the average house price standing at £1,040,000.

    7. Gatcombe, Great Holm

This is the first inner city location that has made it into the top ten! In the past twelve months, there was one sale which totalled at £1,020,000 meaning this is the current average street price.

    8. Warners Close, Great Brickhill

Moving out of the city and into the village of Great Brickill is Warners Close. The small close has the average house price of £957,500.

    9. Ashpole Furlong, Loughton

Ashpole Furlong is a long stretch that goes through the estate of Loughton. House prices have been steadily increasing in the area, and the average house price stands at £925,000.

    10. Calverton Road, Stony Stratford

The popular historic town of Stony Stratford marks tenth on the list. Calverton Road backs onto the River Great Ouse and is in close proximity to the High Street. According to Zoopla, the average house price is £900,000.
