The Parks Trust invites Milton Keynes school children to take part in their nature challenge

The local charity is encouraging school children to take an interest in nature this upcoming February half-term with their five-day challenge

Due to the currently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Parks Trust is unable to host any open days or in-person activities during the February half term.

However, the charity is still hoping that local children and their families will be able to get outdoors and experience all that nature has to offer. To help them take an interest in nature and wildlife, the Parks Trust has launched a five-day challenge that aims to keep kids active and learning during their time off school.

On their website, the Parks Trust posted: "We are not able to host our February Half-Term Open Days but we still want to encourage families to get outdoors and appreciate nature!

"This half-term we are challenging the children of Milton Keynes to take part in our 5-day challenge.

"The challenge involves a series of fun activities which can be completed in your local park or back garden."

    The 5-day challenge includes:

    Day 1 – Create a nature journal
    Day 2 – Make a bird feeder
Day 3 – Go on a bug hunting adventure
    Day 4 – Become a wildlife detective
Day 5 – Make your own green band from natural instruments
