Theatre-goers had reported receiving strange booking confirmation emails from The Stables last night (21/7).
Some people received as many as ten emails from the box office email address thanking them for ordering 'Movies on the Mound' tickets - when no booking had been made.
The emails left recipients confused as to whether The Stables had been hacked and a scam was circulating.
However, The Stables has since issued a statement confirming that they had been sent in error.
It reads: "Please disregard it and be assured that no data breach has taken place and that no charges have been made to your credit or debit card.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
