Here's why a left-over Milton Keynes Halloween decoration led to an emergency Police response

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called and visited a house on Melrose Avenue in Bletchley last week, due to a Halloween decoration outside.

On Wednesday 14th November at around 6.15pm, a blue light response from Police was dispatched to the propety after a call from a member of the public.

The word 'Help' had been spray painted across a garage door on the property, which had been left over from Halloween at the end of October.

At the time it was unclear that the decoration was left over from Halloween, and the member of the public who reported it believed it could have been related to domestic abuse, kidnapping or modern day slavery.

Officers spoke to various residents on the street after being dispatched who confirmed it was a Halloween decoration which had not been taken down.
