The Henry Allen Trust launches virtual balloon race to mark Henry's 7th Angel anniversary

To mark Henry’s 7th Angel anniversary, Team Henry has chosen to do a virtual balloon race to try and raise awareness of childhood cancers.

The charity aims to sell 11,000 balloons; £4.00 per balloon to mark the age when Henry gained his angel wings and 11,000 balloons to celebrate Henry’s 11th Birthday this year.

Due to the pandemic, all the events have been cancelled making Henry’s fundraising beyond difficult. The charity is struggling to continue to help and support families battling childhood cancers and thought a virtual balloon race with incredible prizes would help continue Henry’s Wish and mark Henry’s 7th Angel Anniversary.

The Henry Allen Trust virtual balloon race launches at 15:15 on Tuesday 20th October from Chepstow Park, Henry’s favourite place. The race finishes at 15:15 the following Tuesday, 27th October 2020. Advanced mathematical and physics algorithms use live weather data from meteorological group Aeris and balloon tracking is available 30 minutes after the race has started on Google maps and satellites.

Unlike a traditional latex balloon race, where the balloon can cause death or serious injury to wildlife and farm animals, the Vista balloon race is 100% environmental and litter abuse friendly!

Plus, with no actual balloon, string or label, and no helium gas either, it is climate change positive too.

Prizes include a family costal break in Norfolk, family day out to Bekonscot Model Railway Village, Family shooting voucher for Alders Gun Range, family day out to Bletchley park plus many more.
