The Don Indian Named Best Asian Restaurant at the MK Food & Leisure Awards

The Don wins at the MK Food & Leisure Awards for the second year running.

Last night saw the 6th annual MK Food & Leisure awards. The awards aim to honour the best restaurants, pubs, hotels, chefs and destinations in the city.

The prestigious Chef of the Year award went to John Adriaenssens from The Bell and Bear in Emberton. With other big winners being The Don, winning best Asian Restaurant, after having won Best Newcomer last year, and Nonna’s (Woburn Sands) winning Restaurant of the Year for the second year running.

The awards cover more than just food and drink with gongs up for grabs for the best waiter or waitress, best hotel and the top attraction. They showcase the best restaurants in and around Milton Keynes.

Best Local Product (Drink): Rhubarb Gin – Foxdenton

Best Use of Local Produce: The Bell and Bear (Emberton)

Family Restaurant of the Year: Caldecotte Arms

Asian Restaurant of the Year: The Don

Branded Restaurant of the Year: Wagamama

Best Newcomer: The Anchor (Aspley Guise)

Restaurant of the Year: Nonna’s (Woburn Sands)

Waiter of the Year: Daniel (Nonna’s)

Waitress of the Year: Caitlin Day (Smoke Shack)

Street Food of the Year: Saf’s Kitchen
