The Centre MK issue statement following Tier 4 news - including on Santa's Grotto

    The Centre MK in Milton Keynes have issued a statement following the news that Milton Keynes has entered Tier 4 restrictions today.

    From today onwards, the Government has issued a 'stay at home' order for areas in Tier 4 - including Milton Keynes. 

    In a statement, The Centre MK said: "Following the latest government announcement, Milton Keynes will move into Tier 4 from today resulting in all non-essential retail closing until 30th December when this will be reviewed by the government."

    "Any guests who have booked tickets to our Santa's Grotto with Peter Rabbit & Friends will receive a refund excluding booking fee, you will be contacted via email by our grotto team."

    "This is very unexpected news so please bear with us, we will confirm retailers participating in click and collect and takeaway in the next few days."

    It comes as Intu Milton Keynes have also confirmed they will be closing from today.

    Shelley Peppard, general manager at intu Milton Keynes said: “Following the latest government announcement that Milton Keynes will be placed into Tier 4, intu Milton Keynes will be closed from Sunday 20 December until further notice, including the multi-storey car park."

    “A full list of essential retailers that will remain open, such as banks, will be posted on our website and on our social media channels once this information is made available to us."

    “We ask people not to visit the city centre unless absolutely necessary and if doing so, please wear a face covering, wash your hands and maintain social distancing. We will continue our thorough cleaning regime throughout the entire centre during this period.”
