Major roadworks are continuing on the A5/A508/A422 Old Stratford Roundabout in Milton Keynes this weekend, with major road closures and diversions in place until early Monday morning.
From now until Monday morning at 6am the following roads will be closed:
- The A5 Northbound approach to the roundabout between the A422 Monks Way (Milton Keynes North) and the Old Stratford Roundabout
- Towcester Road (entrance/exit to Old Stratford) in both directions between the Old Stratford Roundabout and Blackhorse Drive
- The A422 Southbound exit from the roundabout (towards Buckingham) between the Old Stratford Roundabout and Deanshanger Road
Traffic approaching from Buckingham on the A422 will be able to access the roundabout and leave on the A5 Northbound towards Towcester, the A508 Northbound towards Northampton or the A5 Southbound towards Milton Keynes.
Traffic approaching on the A5 Southbound from Towcester will be able to leave on either the A508 Northbound towards Northampton or the A5 Southbound towards Milton Keynes.
Traffic approaching on the A508 Southbound from Northampton will be able to access the A5 Southbound towards Milton Keynes only.
There will be no circulatory route around the roundabout across the entire weekend.
Diversion routes are in operation and traffic should follow signage as well as avoiding the area if at all possible.
