Team Icicles to visit Milton Keynes - and you can join them for a skating session

How do you fancy taking to the ice with Team Icicles  at Willen on Ice this Saturday evening?

The renowned synchronised ice-skating team from the UK compete for Britain in international competitions, and deliver quite the spectacle.

This special event marks the launch of their season’s fundraising campaign and guests will be treated to an electrifying performance by the team, but your ticket also grants you an extended skating session allowing you to share the ice with these skilful skaters.

Proceeds raised will directly support two causes. Firstly, you'll be helping Team Icicles to continue representing Great Britain on the world stage.

Secondly, Base UA will benefit. The Ukrainian non-governmental organisation doing critical work in the Donbass region, evacuating civilians from combat zones, delivering humanitarian aid, and running cultural programmes to help children overcome trauma.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase both the incredible talent of Team Icicles and the local young talents for international causes,” said Rob Wood, executive director at Willen Lake. “We’re thrilled to host such a magical evening that not only highlights athletic excellence but also contributes to meaningful change. It’s a chance for people of all ages to come together, experience something special, and make a real impact.”

Rob Cook, director at Ice Leisure, said: “We're really proud that Ice Leisure Group and Willen On Ice can support Team Icicles and Base UA for a second year running. These young athletes put in incredible effort, travelling all over the world for competitions whilst promoting synchronised skating across the UK.

“It's brilliant that we can help them represent Team GB on the world stage. Base UA's work is equally inspiring - they're right there in the Donbass evacuating civilians from combat zones, delivering humanitarian aid where no one else can reach, and training locals to handle medical emergencies. You simply can't not want to get behind that,” he added.
