Strike action to affect rail services from Milton Keynes Central

Strike action is taking place this week, affecting National Rail services from Milton Keynes Central.

Strike action has been announced by both the RMT Union and ASLEF union for dates in July.

The RMT Union have announced three days of strike action on Thursday 20 July, Saturday 22 July and Saturday 29 July.

Avanti West Coast plan to operate a significantly reduced timetable on 20, 22 and 29 July with one train per hour from London Euston running on 20th and 22th.

On 20, 22 and 29 July, West Midlands Railway will run a limited service between 07:00 and 19:00 only. Some routes will be closed and there will be no replacement buses.

In addition to these strikes, the ASLEF union, have announced action short of a strike affecting some train operators from Monday 17 July to Saturday 22 July.

During this time, trains from Milton Keynes are expected to run to schedule but passengers should be prepared for last minute cancellations.

The strikes follow a long-term dispute over cuts, jobs, conditions and pensions.
