Starbucks drive-thru in Milton Keynes to reopen this weekend

Starbucks drive-thru in Central Milton Keynes will be reopening on Saturday (7/11) as the nation heads into lockdown.

The popular coffee shop, located at The Place Retail Park, closed at the start of October for major refurbishments.

New state-of-the-art digital menu boards have been installed, as well as the latest coffee machines which are said to improve operations and make service quicker.

And, since the store reopened after the first lockdown in May, it has been incredibly popular with residents. The layout of the retail park partnered with the relatively short drive-thru lane often resulted in congestion in the car park.

Starbucks has spent the past month attempting to fix this issue by extending the drive-thru lane to improve access and make it easier for cars to manoeuvre around the retail park.

It will be open on Saturday (7/11) and will remain open throughout lockdown. Starbucks says that the first 150 cars using the drive-thru will get a "goody bag".

The other Starbucks stores, at intu and the centre:mk, will remain open for takeaway and delivery during lockdown.
