Solo Connects and Redway Runners unite to celebrate Singles Awareness Day in Milton Keynes

Solo Connects and Redway Runners have announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration later this month, celebrating Singles Awareness Day with a fun, active and social gathering.

The event is designed for singles to get outdoors, meet new people and build confidence in the fresh year.

Singles Awareness Day, held on February 15, offers a positive alternative to Valentine’s Day for people who are not currently in a romantic relationship. It highlights the joys of independence, the importance of friendships and self-appreciation, and celebrates the value of connections in all forms.

Singles Awareness Day isn’t about loneliness - it’s a celebration of independence, friendships, and self-love, say organisers, and will combine the benefits of physical wellbeing and an event designed to bring people together with a common interest.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Redway Runners for this event – a big part of the Solo Connects ethos is getting people out of their comfort zones and building up the confidence to try new things, so this is the perfect opportunity for singles to get out and give running a try," said Solo Connects xo-founder Samantha Poole, "Singles Awareness Day is the perfect day to have a go at something new and see what it brings," she said.

Sam’s co-founder, Rachel Allen added: “There’s something for everyone with Redway Runners, so if you’re an experienced runner, you’ll enjoy the club run. I’m building up my running stamina again, so the Step-Up run is perfect for me, and Sam will enjoy a Ramble. Redway Runners has built up an incredible community across the City and we are excited to put on an event together.”
