The brand new chicken shop will be opening in Milton Keynes on 4th July.
Two weeks ago, MKFM reported that Xscape's KFC had suddenly closed down.
Customers visiting KFC at the Xscape noticed a sign within one of the windows announcing the store's sudden closure. The sign read: 'STORE CLOSURE - As of Thursday the 12th of May 2022, this store will be CLOSED PERMANENTLY.'
Following the closure, there was speculation whether Slim Chickens, which we revealed was planning to open in Milton Keynes, would be taking its space.
Today, on social media, Milton Keynes Future confirmed the rumours.
Posters can now be seen outside the former KFC unit.
MKFM has spoken to Slim Chickens who have confirmed the store will open on July 4th.
Slim Chickens is a 'fast-casual' restaurant brand that has built up a huge following in the USA and is rapidly growing with expansion in the UK.
Currently, there are just 16 restaurants across the country.
