Wanted man gets in a lather during city centre chase.
Milton Keynes neighbourhood police officers detained a wanted man yesterday, after spotting him with a bag full of shampoo.
The city’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, patrolling as part of Thames Valley’s #SaferStreets campaign, saw the man who was wanted on recall to prison.
He tried to escape but dropped what was later discovered to be a bag of stolen shampoo.
“The male in question, who obviously thought his running skills were ‘Head & Shoulders’ above the officers’, tried to lose them inside Marks & Spencer,” said a police spokesperson. “But he was swiftly detained and taken into custody. Suspect arrested and stolen shampoo recovered.”
