Santa's little helper visits Milton Keynes with special 'Elf 'n' Safety' message

One of Santa's most trusted workshop elves has left the North Pole on Santa's orders to carry out a special winter mission at Barratt and David Wilson Homes' developments across the new city.

Equipped with a hi-vis vest and hard hat, the elf has been touring live developments to help remind families that, while school is out for the holidays, construction work continues, and children need to remember their 'elf and safety' and stay away from construction sites.

As the winter nights draw in early and children spend more time playing outdoors, the homebuilder is spreading Christmas cheer whilst highlighting the very real dangers of exploring building sites.

The visiting elf has been checking in with site managers, leaving festive safety reminders on noticeboards, and showing how even Santa’s helpers follow all the rules when visiting busy working areas.

“Children are naturally curious, especially at this time of year, so we want to make sure they understand the importance of staying safe," said Simon Francis, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes, “With one of Santa’s elves lending a hand, we hope our ‘elf and safety’ message will stick with families throughout the holidays.

“Construction sites are exciting to look at but they can be hazardous, so we’re encouraging children to enjoy the festivities from a safe distance and keep themselves firmly on Santa’s nice list.”
