Santa Dash returns to Milton Keynes to raise money for Willen Hospice this Christmas

Willen Hospice is inviting local people to join their annual Santa Dash sponsored by My Milton Keynes on Sunday 18th December.

Fancy dressing up as Santa and raising money for a good cause?

This iconic and popular festive fundraiser sees hundreds of people dressed as Father Christmas flock to Willen Lake to walk, jog or sprint the 1.2 mile Dash around the north lake.

The Dash, held outside the Hospice on the lakeside, welcomes dashers from 10am ready for a 10.30am start.

The family event is open to all ages and abilities. Well-behaved dogs are even welcome to take part too.

Katrina Walsh, Senior Events Fundraiser at Willen Hospice, said: “Our Santa Dash is a festive favourite for many families and has become a staple in their Christmas routine to kick-start the festivities.

“Whether your Dash is in memory of a loved one, a chance to do something fun as a family, or simply a change to your usual Sunday run, by taking part you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for the local people we look after.”

Places can be booked at Santa Dash - 18th December - Willen Hospice (willen-hospice.org.uk).

Registration is £15 for adults including a Santa suit; £3 for children including a pair of Santa glasses or £10 for children including a Santa suit.

Willen Hospice needs to raise around £11.23 every minute to providing specialist care to local people facing a life-limiting illness in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

The charity kindly ask participants to try and fundraise £100 to support their important work.
