Retirement home in Olney throws summer party with vintage swing group

A retirement community in Olney, Milton Keynes, enjoyed a summer party.

An Olney Retirement Living Plus community, Penny House, was recently the place to be thanks to the team at McCarthy Stone, who threw a fabulous summer party with vintage swing group, Scarlet Swing.

Helping visiting retirees get into the swing of the retirement lifestyle on offer at Penny House, the summer party gave guests the opportunity to socialise together.

There was a hum of excited chatter as guests enjoyed a glass of fizz and delicious light-bites from the on-site bistro while listening to live music from Scarlet Swing in the beautiful, landscaped gardens.

Sam Watkins, Divisional Marketing Manager for McCarthy Stone, said: “The event was a great success, and we were thrilled to welcome retirees from across Olney to celebrate the summer at one of our latest developments.

“This is just one of a series of social events at Penny House, which have been designed to reduce isolation in older people and showcase the vibrant and social community we have here. We look forward to welcoming more homeowners to the development and seeing the community flourish.”
