Residents urged to check dashcam footage following a robbery involving a machete in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery, that involved a machete, in Milton Keynes.

    At 10.40pm on Monday (29/6), the victim, a man in his fifties, was driving westbound along Langcliffe Drive, Heelands when a woman ran out in front of his car.

    When the victim pulled over, a man approached the passenger side of his vehicle and opened the door. The man then produced a machete and told the victim to get out of the vehicle.

    A dark coloured car then pulled in front of the victim and a second man exited the vehicle with a machete.

    The victim’s car, a black Mercedes, and a Samsung smart phone were taken and the offenders drove away eastbound along Langcliffe Drive.

    The victim was not injured during the incident.

    The woman who ran in front of the victim’s car is described as mixed race, around 5ft2ins tall, and between 20 and 30 years-old. She had a slim build and was wearing a black top and black tights, and had black hair that was tied up.

    The first man is described as black, between 20 and 30 years-old, and of a medium build. He was wearing grey or black trousers, a dark hooded top with the hood up and had dreadlocks.

    The second man was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and was also of a medium build.

    Investigating officer Detective Constable Matthew Acland, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim and I am asking anyone who has any information about this incident to come forward.

    “I am appealing particularly to the occupants of two cars that were driving behind the victim before he pulled over, and any other motorists who were travelling in the area at the time, to check their dash-cam footage.
