Residents' shock as two cars are set alight during middle of night in Milton Keynes estate

Firefighters have been busy tackling car fires over the past few days as deliberate fires were started in the early hours of both Monday (5/7) and Thursday (8/7).

The first car fire took place at around 3:15am along Arncliffe Drive on Monday, while the second was a short walk away in Langcliffe Drive just after 2am this morning.

Fire engines attended both of the blazes and believe they were started deliberately. It is not known whether the incidents are linked.

Residents have since been questioning what has been going on, and speculation has been circulating as to whether the cars were stolen.

It has been reported that both of the destroyed vehicles are still in Heelands waiting to be removed.

The shattered glass has completely covered the pathway and it has been alleged that Milton Keynes Council will not deal with the removal as the car was taxed, insured and had an MOT so is the owner's responsibility.
