Additional security and police in place ensure the fun of the fair continues.
Emmett and Sons and Thames Valley Police have installed additional security and police on Friday following a large altercation on Thursday night.
Thames Valley Police issued advice on Friday to anyone planning to attend the funfair at Campbells Park in Milton Keynes.
The event continues today and will take place every night until November 5, officers are advising visitors to make sure that they enjoy the occasion but to ensure that they do so responsibly.
Sergeant Lucy Boddington, of the Milton Keynes North Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “ Unfortunately, the event on Thursday was marred by a large scale altercation, and we do not wish to see a repeat of this over the course of the weekend. Therefore we are asking anyone who is planning to attend the funfair at Campbells Park to enjoy the event responsibly. We will not tolerate incidents such as the one we saw last night, and we will look to deter and arrest anyone who is involved in any such incident. We want to make sure that people who go to the fun fair are able to enjoy this popular community event in the right way. Our officers will be in attendance and if anyone has any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.''
Meanwhile, Keith Emmett & Sons have added Heras fencing and additional gate security to the Funfair and Fireworks Spectacular in light of the incident on Thursday night.
They said '' We would like to assure all patrons attending the fair that we continuously strive to present a safe and fun-filled environment. There will be two guarded entrances at which security will be following safety guidelines. Please see our notice boards which can be found at these entrances or on our website ''
