Residents can help shape the future of Milton Keynes Hospital by nominating themselves to become governor

Milton Keynes University Hospital is holding its governor elections next month and members of the public are invited to consider nominating themselves to become a governor of our hospital.

As a Governor, you will be one of the voices representing the hospital's members which is particularly important during these extremely challenging times for the Trust and the NHS.

A spokesperson for Milton Keynes University Hospital said: "You will have the opportunity to help shape the future of our Trust as an exciting new expansion programme is developed, designed to look after our growing local population. In this role you can also seek and share the views of our members to help improve the experience our patients receive. If this sounds like something you would like to do, the Trust encourages you to consider putting yourself forward for nominations."

The Council of Governor elections are being held in February 2021 and nominations to fulfil these vital roles need to be registered by Monday 18 January.

The five MKUH public constituency areas up for election in February are:

    • ‘Emerson Valley, Furzton, Loughton Park’ – two seats
    • ‘Linford South, Bradwell, Campbell Park’ – one seat
    • ‘Outer catchment area’ – one seat
    • ‘Extended area’ – one seat
