Earlier this month, residents and staff at YMCA Milton Keynes laced up their trainers and got on their bikes in their latest fundraiser, the Double Marathon Challenge.
Staff and residents at the YMCA in Milton Keynes have been taking part in a Double Marathon Challenge.
The team walked 26.2 miles, the first part of the challenge in around 7 hours, before a group of residents and staff including Simon Green CEO, completed a 2nd marathon by bike, finishing early evening.
The team raised £2,042, smashing their target of £1,000.
Mark Smith, Employment and Activities Manager said, “a fantastic effort by all participants including guests, residents, and staff!
"A big thank you to all those who kindly donated towards upgrading our YMCA residents' lounge, including Abbey Hill Golf Club who donated a nearly new pool table. Some of the money raised has helped refurbish the table.
"The resident lounge is a vital area where a variety of activities are conducted.
"This has now become an annual event that we hope will grow and grow!.”
