Local charity tells of theft and vandalism at educational centre in Milton Keynes

A local charity, Action4Youth, is appealing for information following alleged thefts and vandalism at their educational centre in Caldecotte.

The young people’s charity has reported a recent number of criminal acts targeting its outdoor education centre, the Caldecotte Xperience, in Milton Keynes.

Action4Youth's outdoor facility, that has specialist facilities for those with additional needs, says that a trailer and 4x4 buggy have been stolen.

Jenifer Cameron, Chief Executive of Action4Youth says: “It is appalling that criminals would target a small, specialist learning, and adventure centre which offers so much opportunity to local young people, as well as those from further afield.

“We pride ourselves on working with young people to develop and hone key life skills, including confidence, communication and resilience, attributes that are vital in dealing with unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances such as this."

According to Action4Youth, there has also been vandalism to the charity's buildings, where it appears somebody has tried to gain access.

The charity has reported the incidents to Thames Valley Police.

Residents who may have information to assist with the alleged events are encouraged to call 0300 003 2334 or email office@action4youth.org.
