Willen Hospice are inviting local people to join their annual Christmas service of remembrance, Lights of Love, which will be streamed live to their Facebook page on Saturday 19 December at 6pm.
Alongside the virtual event, the charity is offering people the chance to buy personalised Christmas decorations (pictured) in memory of a loved one to keep and hang on their tree at home.
There is also an opportunity to set up a Tribute Page in memory of a loved one, which will then be added to an online Tribute Garden.
Tracey Jago, Events Fundraiser, said “Our Lights of Love Service is such an important event. The festive period can be particularly difficult for anyone who has lost a loved one, no matter how long ago it was.
We know that many people have struggled with loss this year, maybe without the chance to say goodbye properly, or seek support from family members, so we hope our Lights of Love service will give people the chance to grieve in a peaceful, and meaningful way.”
