Passengers are being warned to expect delays between Milton Keynes and Watford Junction after a person died after being hit by a train.
Police were called at 1:05pm following reports of a person being struck by a train at Hemel Hempstead station.
Paramedics also attended however a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are working to identify the person and inform their family. The death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
National Rail is warning of delays and cancellations until end of service on the West Coast Mainline.
